Katie Kashmiry is a New York based jewelry designer and artist.
All jewelry is hand crafted in Katie’s studio using traditional wax carving and hand fabrication techniques and often made in collaboration with New York based casters and skilled jewelers.
Katie approaches design as experimental and intuitive. She often looks outside the world of jewelry for inspiration: museum archives, ancient textiles, prints and ceramics, and architectural and minimalist design. Her current work expresses her interests in geometry, the play of line, texture and light and the rhythmic repetition of shapes.
Encouraged by the power of incorporating giving in business, Katie donates ten percent of profits to charity and nonprofit organizations working to promote art and creativity in everyday life.
Giving Back & Paying it Forward
With a strong belief in the healing power of the arts, Katie is currently supporting the University of Florida Center for Arts and Medicine. The Center provides education and training in the use of arts to enhance health, research of the arts in medicine, and outreach to promote art and creativity as healing modalities.
